Established in 1816, Harvard Divinity School is a nonsectarian graduate school institution that educates and trains a wide diversity of students both in the pursuit of academic study of religion and preparation for leadership in any religious ministry or other public service vocation.
Harvard Divinity School currently offers four degree programs Master of Divinity, Master of Theological Studies, Master of Theology and Doctor of Philosophy where students can engage in critical thinking and interpretation which are important foundation for their future work. The student body roughly represents 30 different religious traditions and spiritual backgrounds - Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu among others. Not only that Harvard Divinity enrolls a wide range of students coming from different spiritual backgrounds but they also enrolls students who don't have any affiliation with any particular religious traditions.
